Hey everyone,
Farm Animal Rescue is a place and an idea that's close to my heart. It was the first animal sanctuary I visited after I started living a vegan lifestyle just over five years ago. I learned so much there and was so inspired by the lives of the animals that I knew I'd taken the right path. I've been back numerous times since then and I always come away feeling moved, vitalised and inspired all over again.
I'm taking part in Bridge to Brisbane this year in a small effort to give something back to an organisation that works incredibly hard to change the lives of animals (humans included).
The same year I became vegan, I had a nasty injury that meant I effectively couldn't run anymore, so I'll be walking/jogging the event as best I can. I last did Bridge to Brisbane in a corporate event ten years ago, so this time will be very different, but I'm sure it will be much more rewarding.
I hope you can help the Farm Animal Rescue fundraising team continue not just to save lives but to help us all of us thrive.

Farm Animal Rescue rescues, rehabilitates and provides forever homes for farmed animals that have suffered abuse, neglect and abandonment.FAR is based out of a 55 acre sanctuary in Dayboro, QLD. Walking tours of the sanctuary and are work are available, and we actively advocate for these animals in many ways, including through our work with Queensland legislators.
