Story
Hey everyone,
This year I am making a difference by participating in Bridge to Brisbane and running to raise money for the chaplaincy service at Morayfield SHS. While chaplains receive some funding from the government, most of our hours/days are funded through donations. With the help of my team, we plan to raise at least $10,000 to fund an extra day of chaplaincy at the school.
My role within the school focuses on supporting at-risk and vulnerable students in an emotional, social, and spiritual capacity. As a Chappy, I provide one-on-one and group support to students going through a wide range of struggles such as family and friendship issues, grief and loss, self-esteem, mental health struggles, and bullying.
So we need your help with a donation, big or small. Every donation goes towards students and staff being loved, seen and valued. Programs can be run for students needing an extra hand to fit in at school, breakfasts can be provided to fill empty bellies, life-changing conversations can be had, and so much more. This cannot be achieved without your help.

Morayfield State High School (Scripture Union Chaplaincy)
SU Australia school Chaplains, or 'Chappies', support the holistic wellbeing of our school communities across Australia. Chaplains provide a listening ear and a caring presence for children and young people in crisis. They also provide support for staff and parents in school communities. Support is provided through one-on-one support, running small groups and other community activities. School Chaplains make a difference, and are loved by their communities.
