Story
The crew at BESS Concrete are excited to be back, pounding the pavement once again for a good cause – and we would like your help.
This year, we have a team of approximately 30 participants coming together to participate in the Bridge to Brisbane on 15th October. Our goal is to raise vital funds for our official nominated charity MND & Me Foundation.
The MND and Me Foundation plays a crucial role in supporting individuals and families living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in Queensland. They provide essential support programs and contribute to research aimed at finding treatments and ultimately a cure for MND.
• Each day in Australia two people die from MND and another two people are diagnosed with MND.
• A cure for MND is yet to be found.
• There is no effective treatment for MND, and it can strike anyone at any time.
• The average life expectancy of a person diagnosed with MND is 2.5 years.
The MND and Me Foundation aims to be there for all Australians– providing the right solutions at the right time throughout the cycle of pre-diagnosis, diagnosis, living with motor neurone disease and following a loved one’s passing. It is with deep sadness that we personally know two people who lost their lives in recent years to this disease, and we are therefore committed to helping to make a difference.
We do acknowledge that we are living in a time where extra cash is hard to come by, however even the small donations of $5.00 (fully tax-deductible) can make a significant difference in the lives of those affected by MND.
If you can help our fundraising mission in anyway, your support would be greatly appreciated by our team, but more so by those currently affected by MND and those working towards a cure. Together, we can ensure that no one must face MND alone.

The MND and Me Foundation Limited
The MND and Me Foundation Limited is a not for profit organisation that was formed to raise awareness of Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and its' impact in the community. We saw the desperate need to assist people living with MND and their families to maintain their independence and quality of life for as long as possible. The Foundation intends to contribute financially toward research into finding a cure, but until one is found, our major objectives are to ensure those who have to live with this terrible disease and their families are supported by the Foundation both in financial and non-financial ways.
